Alex Kirui is the current Executive Producer and Lead Animator of the YouTube and ViuSasa hit series Makarao. He previously interned at the XYZ show as a storyboard artist and later as a lead animator for various projects.
He is a graduate of The University of Nairobi with a bachelor’s degree in B.A(Literature and Communication) in 2011. While at the University, he freelanced as cartoonist and animator for leading Kenya dailies, The Nation and the Standard.
He is self-taught, and says, it is his passion that has made him to discover the endless possibilities of animation, caricaturing, and various ways employing satire to tackle some of the biggest problems we face as a country. He is a widely-travelled pan-Africanist because of his craft.
Nyakundi Isaboke is an actor, filmmaker and a model. He has starred in a number of local TV shows including Santanal (Citizen TV), Kelele FM (K24), Sue na Johny (Maisha Magic) Mchungaji (NTV). Currently, he stars as Kevo in Varshita (Maisha Magic East). As a commercial model, he has been featured on commercials for brands such as Safaricom, KCB, Tuzo and Kenya Orient. He also develops content for various digital platforms (social media and YouTube) as well as for the World Wide Festival Circuits.
Kevin Mosigisi is a Fulbright Scholar from the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Master of Arts (Literature) from the University of Nairobi. He is an experienced writing tutor, editor and designer, and organises literary and cultural events in Nairobi.
Silas Nyanchwani is a columnist with the Standard Group, where he pens a politically-incorrect commentary social and gender issues. He also runs an advice column to college students. Previously, he has been published by the Daily Nation, The East African, Adam Magazine (now defunct), Millennium Post (New Delhi, India). Currently, he is the content-editor for Nairobi Cool and Nairobi Review, under Gram Media.
A creative writer, Nyanchwani specialises in travel writing, short fiction and non-fiction.
He is a graduate of Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism (with a MS in Journalism) and the University of Nairobi (BA in Language, Communication & Literature).
